Ingwe TVET College is honoured to have been part of the Youth Day celebration that was hosted by the Office of the Premier in the Eastern Cape in Cacadu. The College Marketing and Communications Unit was part of the exhibitors who shared opportunities with out of school youth and learners from neighbouring high schools. Through the Office of the Premier Legacy Projects competition, ten young entrepreneurs won a total of R120,000 to significantly grow their businesses across diverse sectors, including manufacturing, media, retail, and laundry.
The Eastern Cape Provincial Government actively supports young entrepreneurs through the Isiqalo Youth Fund, which was launched in 2019. 82 Youth owned SMME’s have already been empowered across across the province. Ingwe TVET College, with campuses across the Eastern Cape including Mount Frere, Maluti, Mt Fletcher, Lusikisiki, and Bizana, plays a vital role in providing vocational and technical education to thousands of students. The clean audit reinforces its position as a well-managed institution capable of delivering quality education while maintaining financial integrity. Ingwe TVET College is proud to have been part of this great initiative which seeks to bring change to the youth of the Eastern Cape. We strongly encourage all our current and former students to explore valuable opportunities, such as the Isiqalo Youth Fund, to start their own businesses and become self-employed.
